Coffee Powder Blending & Mixing Production Line (Ribbon Blender + Vacuum Conveyor)

I. Customer Overview

The customer is a specialized manufacturer of instant beverage products, primarily producing instant coffee powder products. Their original process relied on manual feeding and manual mixing, which suffered from excessive dust, poor hygiene, inconsistent blending, and low capacity. To achieve dust-free automated production, the customer purchased our vacuum conveyor and ribbon blender, integrating them with their existing Z-type bucket elevator and packaging machine to build an automated blending and mixing production line.

II. Customer Production Requirements

The materials involved are light, fine powders such as coffee powder and sugar powder, which are prone to dust dispersion and segregation. The required batch mixing capacity is 80 kg per batch. The customer required enclosed, dust-free production, uniform blending, no cross-contamination, and compliance with food-grade production standards. The equipment also needed to interface with their existing elevator and packaging equipment for streamlined operation.

III. Core Equipment Selection & Precise Volume Calculation

Material bulk density: 550 kg/m³; food powder filling factor: 0.6.

Material volume per batch: 80 kg ÷ 550 kg/m³ ≈ 0.145 m³

Required equipment volume: 0.145 m³ ÷ 0.6 ≈ 0.242 m³

A 300 L ribbon blender was selected to precisely match the requirement, ensuring a reasonable filling ratio and dead-corner-free mixing.

A food-grade vacuum conveyor was supplied for negative-pressure enclosed feeding with zero dust leakage. The blender’s discharge outlet was customized to seamlessly connect with the customer’s existing Z-type bucket elevator, ensuring smooth material flow without clogging.

IV. Complete Automated Production Process

Operators prepare materials according to the formula, and the vacuum conveyor transports them dust-free to the ribbon blender. The blender’s double-layer ribbon agitators mix at low speed and with gentle action, ensuring uniform blending without caking or segregation. After mixing, the material is automatically discharged into the Z-type bucket elevator, which conveys it to the automatic packaging machine for filling and sealing. The entire process is automated, requires minimal labor, and maintains high cleanliness standards.

V. Equipment Advantages & Proven Results

The complete system meets food-grade dust-free production standards and eliminates workshop dust issues. The scientifically calculated volume ratio ensures stable equipment load, lower energy consumption, and consistent batch-to-batch uniformity. The fully automated line replaces manual operations, significantly improving production efficiency while reducing labor-related contamination and material loss.

VI. Customer Feedback

The equipment has been running stably since commissioning and fully meets the customer’s batch production requirements for coffee powder, with a high product qualification rate. The customer acknowledged our precise equipment selection and mature process solution, and has expressed interest in long-term cooperation.
